Hummus is a favorite in vegetarian and vegan diets all over the world because it serves as a complete protein when eaten with bread. It’s high in iron and vitamin C. Chickpeas are a great source of protein and fiber.
Ingredients
7 oz (200g) canned chickpeas
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 crushed garlic cloves
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
4 tsp tahini (optional)
4 tbsp water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
Directions
Rinse and drain the chickpeas
Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until creamy
Add more lemon juice, garlic or salt to the tast
Pour into a small bowl and sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil over the top
